Big Society Capital has appointed Anne Wade, formerly Director of Capital International, to join its Board.

Her extensive investment management expertise together with her experience in social investment will strengthen the Board and, following the recent announcement of Fiona Ellis from the charitable sector, her appointment will maintain the balance of Board members with social and financial backgrounds.”
Anne Wade said:

Anne is currently on the Board of Directors of the FB Heron Foundation in New York, a $300 million enterprise which was an early pioneer in Mission Related Investing. In a corporate capacity, Anne is a non-executive director of Holcim, in Switzerland. Anne is also an associate with Leader’s Quest, a social enterprise which works with global leaders on impact and integrating purpose alongside corporate profits; and she sits on the Advisory Board of the Impetus Trust.
Between 1995 – 2012 Anne had a distinguished career at Capital International as an investment manager, Senior Vice President and Director where she managed assets in the infrastructure sectors.
