Big Society Capital has hired the former Finance Director of Scope, Geetha Rabindrakumar to create stronger connections between Big Society Capital and charities, social enterprises and community organisations.

Nick O’Donohoe, Chief Executive of Big Society Capital said:

“We recognise that there is a huge wealth of experience and knowledge amongst the social sector that is crucial to us making real progress in growing the social investment market. We are delighted that Geetha is joining our team to help us strengthen our links with the social sector to help drive innovation and inform our strategy.”

Geetha Rabindrakumar said:

"I am looking forward to working with charities and social enterprises to bring their perspective to initiatives developed at Big Society Capital. This is an exciting period to bring the promise of social investment to life. More opportunities to access capital could transform the potential for the sector to increase its impact."

Geetha joined the disability charity Scope in 2008. She was appointed as Finance Director in 2009 and led the establishment of Scope's listed bond programme in October 2011. She previously worked in a range of finance roles in the voluntary sector, including at Cancer Research UK and Plan International.
