Big Society Capital today announces the appointment of Sir Richard Lambert as Chair of the Big Society Trust, which will oversee Big Society Capital’s activities so as to ensure that it stays true to its mission.
Sir Richard brings to the Big Society Trust a wealth of experience of business, finance, policy and the media. He is a former Editor of the Financial Times (1991-2001) and member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England (2003-2006). Between 2006 and 2011, Sir Richard was Director General of the Confederation of British Industry.

Other members of the Big Society Trust Board appointed this week are: Sir Stephen Bubb (ACEVO), Gareth Davies (Cabinet Office), Ian Davis (McKinsey and Co), Peter Holbrook (Social Enterprise UK), Baroness (Jill) Pitkeathley (House of Lords) and David Robinson (Community Links). Sir Ronald Cohen is also a member in his position as Chair of Big Society Capital.
