Evita joined Big Society Capital in 2014 and leads on BSC's engagement with investors and financial institutions that wish to make social impact investments or include these products as part of their offering to customers. She is actively involved in the development of BSC's investment offering to external investors. Evita is a regular speaker at investor conferences that feature social impact investing including Good Money Week, Impact Summit Europe and FundForum International. She continues to contribute to a number of Government working groups related to “Growing a Culture of Social Impact Investing in the UK”.
She is particularly interested in helping investors (individuals, institutions and family offices) navigate the world of impact investing especially capital into mission led organisations in the “Contribute to Solutions” end of the impact investing spectrum.
Prior to joining Big Society Capital, Evita spent more than 10 year in the financial services sector having worked in investment management for SEI Investments and Insight Investment. Before financial services, she worked for a UK political party. She has an MBA from Imperial College Business School and is a Trustee for a mental health and counselling charity in Central London.
Like many others, I often use anniversaries as an opportunity to celebrate, reflect and recalibrate. I will soon be entering my fourth year at Big Society Capital so it seemed timely to think back to how my work has changed and developed during this period. One area I would like to focus on is the growth of impact investment.
