Social need

In Mozambique, malaria accounts for over 57% of paediatric admissions, 44% of outpatient consultations and is responsible for 23% of all deaths.

Nando’s, Coca-Cola and Anglo-American have helped design a pay-for-performance bond to increase funding and effectiveness of malaria interventions.

The programme has the target of reducing malaria prevalence in the targeted areas by 75%, and reach 8 million beneficiaries. Reducing malaria rates will improve health outcomes, reduce employee absenteeism due to illness and improve employee engagement across the partner organisations.
